"Strength in numbers" - Bullying/confidence TAG

Hello guys! I hope you're having a good day or night. As you guys know, bullying is one of the worst issues we're facing today. I'm glad we're finally doing something about bully, although we still have more work to do, because we are no where near ending bullying. I see it all the time, either at my school or on social media.

Few years ago, Bethany Mota did a bullying/confidence video and tagged all of her fans, viewers and subscribers. Since I'm all 3 and I would like to join in the fight against bullying, I decided that I want to do this tag.

CONFIDENCE:

- Have you ever felt unconfident before and why?
Of course I have felt unconfident before! I think the cause of this, is that I'm always comparing myself to others and putting myself in a low place and never thinking I'll ever be good enough for people at school, which is silly, because once I graduate high school in less than 3 months, I doubt it I'll ever see these people ever again. While I'm walking to my classes at school or  going through my Instagram feed, I'm usually thinking, "Oh wow she's pretty, I wish I was her..", which obviously needs to stop. I think I will always feel unconfident no matter what I do to make myself feel confident. I just have to remind myself  several times that, I am beautiful and there are people that loves me, because of who I am.

- Do you loose confidence when you don't feel 'pretty'?
Yes, I start to feel insecure and care too much of what people think of me. I worry too much about things that shouldn't be worried in the first place. I start to lose myself and try to become "normal" which is so so boring, then of course I start to compare myself. I have to remember that I am worth more than what people think of me.

- What makes you feel confident about yourself?
To be honest, a lot of things makes me feel confident about myself, I just tend to "forget". I seriously need a bunch of post-it notes, write the things I love about myself and stick it on the walls in my room and my belongings. Anyway I like who I have become, my personality has evolved throughout the past 5 years. I'm open-mined and accepting of others. I'm a listener and I respect people's opinion. I love how I'm able to go out to the public, without wearing makeup. I'm able to spread random acts of kindness. I just love how I was able to stay true to myself during the times when I felt lonely and wanted to make friends. I mean why fit in when you were born to stand out? Take advantage of your unique characteristics.

BULLYING:

- Have you been bullied?
I'm actually not sure. There were times that I've been and felt excluded from groups of friends or people. They never really bothered to notice me. There were times that people had told me that I'm not pretty or ignored me, while I was talking to them.

- Did you every bully someone?
No I don't think so. I was always the bystander, either wondering why we can just get along and move on with our lives or just feeling sorry for the victim. But there were times I have made fun of someone with my friends, but I don't think it was major, but still.. I have judged people without any explanations.
I think it's important to learn from our mistakes and never repeat those horrible actions.

- Whether you were bullying or being bullied, how'd it make you feel?
When I was or if  bullying someone, I definitely felt bad afterwards, because I know for sure that is not who I am or want to be. You always have to remember, how would you feel if someone also treated you in a negative way? Treat people the way you want to be treated.
When I was possibly being bullied, I felt sad. I was just confused. I was wondering why was this happening to me and what did I do to deserve this. I know for sure I never did anything negative towards them for this to happen to me. It is what it is.

- How do you deal with bullying?
One of my favorite Youtubers, Megan Reinks aka meganrosette once said in one of her Dr. Meghan videos, "It's better to be alone, than to be surrounded my s***** people. So I just left them and moved on with my life and tried to find better people that are positive and drama-free. I think the best way to deal with bullying is to tell an adult or a mature friend that you trust and they'll try to help to stop the situation.

INNER BEAUTY:

-Do nicer people seem more 'beautiful' to you?
YES NICE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ALIVE
Their kindness always seems to make other people feel beautiful too. Spread kindness, we really do need to take better care of our environment. I think nicer people are people that are truly beautiful inside and out.

-Does makeup make you feel prettier?
I actually stopped wearing makeup sometime during my freshman year. Mainly because waking up 5 am in the morning for school was already too much for me and then later on I realized natural beauty is also beautiful. But yes makeup did make me feel pretty and I remembered it gave me a little boost of confidence. I think people need to understand that, you don't always need to wear makeup to feel pretty or just rely on it for pure confidence and feeling 100% beautiful, but that's my opinion.

-What do you think of the expression 'beauty comes from the inside?
Spreading kindness to others, loving yourself, feeling like you can take on the world, positivity, and just being completely ourselves.

If you're reading this, then I tag you to do this. Thank you, I love you all and don't forget to be the reason behind someone's smile.

Quote of the day:

Your value doesn't decreased when based on someone's inability to see your worth. - unknown

Music

Hey guys, today I want to express my thoughts about music. I have to admit, music is my true love, well so far haha. I tried my best to not have each playlists to be too long, but if you knew me then you would know that it would be a difficult task for me.

Music literally gets me through the day, it's basically my lifesaver. I say that, because I get insecure while walking through the hallways of my school. Music also blocks out the negativity and just puts me in a positive mood. I actually like every type of music, from hip-hop to country. Believe it or not, as much as I love music, I have never been to a concert. Shocker, right?! Although my goal is to attend as many concerts as I can. But for right now I've been jammin' on Spotify. Well I hope you guys enjoy few of the songs from each playlists down below and I even provided a link for you guys! Love you all <3
