Positive Change

Hey I hope today is going well for you guys. Today was good to me, but yesterday was even better, especially during lunch. As some you some of guys know, I'm a hardcore PeaceJammer. One of the goals to achieve in PeaceJam is to LITERALLY create a positive change in any possible way on this drama filled, yet beautiful planet. And also to present the accomplished idea to the Noble Peace Laureate and our other 250+ PeaceJam friends at the conference in the Spring. Yesterday was the PeaceJam meeting at my high school and we focused on brainstorming ideas on what we're passionate about and what positive ideas we would like to act on before the day of the annual conference. My PeaceJam friends thought of some great ideas in almost every aspect of the key issues, such as showing awareness of LGBTQ, mental health, ending bullying, and so much more.

Mean Stinks

Well one of my ideas that I was extremely passionate and excited to tell at the PeaceJam meeting, had to do with ending bullying and mean behavior. I hope my PeaceJam group plans to have the Secret Mean Stinks Nicest. Tour. Ever. to come to my high school. It's Keenan West, a youth motivational speaker and vocalist, who partnered with Mean Stinks anti-bullying program, that causes this event to be amazing and inspiring. He's planning to come to over 100 schools all across the country and this could be your school. All it takes is one email. If you have witnessed bullying in your school and you hate it so bad that you want to do something about it, then hey this is your calling. Give it a try, you never know this could create a positive difference in your school. Always remember, don't wonder why somebody didn't do anything about it.. YOU are and will ALWAYS be somebody. Words can't describe for my excitement and happiness for this upcoming possible project for my PeaceJam group. I really hope this becomes a reality for my school.

Aspiring Youtuber

Ahhh let's not forget Kiana Mohr. So on Sunday, January 4th, I watched her YouTube video about giving back to the community and striving to make the year 2015 even better. Her video made me happy and inspired me even stronger to do something positive, like give back to my community, that would someday create a chain, like pay it forward. She mentioned few ideas, such as random acts of kindness. I really love how she thought of the idea of creating video challenges every now and then. I'm also excited to see what she had planned for the video challenges and this year. You guys should check her YouTube channel. She's funny and definitely has been living her dreams. Thank you, Kiana, I can't wait to see your next challenge video.

Also check out the collaboration she's a part of with her hilarious and talented friends, First Class Collab.

Caroline

Hey guys I hope you all had a great day today! I've been feeling bit stuffy and tired, so I ended up staying home today and hopefully I'll better by tomorrow morning.

I've been wanting to dedicate a post to the beautiful Caroline Richards, who recently passed away on January 9, 2015 from Osteosarcoma. I hope you guys appreciate this.

The very first time I heard about Caroline was when I saw her pictures with Cameron Dallas, Nash Grier, Carter Reynolds, and Hayes Grier from the FamTour meet and greet. Her and the boys' expression were full of happiness. I was just so happy for her and the boys, that they finally got to meet. It was so thoughtful for the boys to make her meet and greet a bit more special. That moment was so special that we shall think about it every once in a while. She deserved this a lot, more than we can ever imagine. I love how she got to see them again for the second time (Except for Cameron, since he was busy with Expelled). And she also got to meet Taylor Caniff at his RV Tour, which was also exciting.

Caroline was an inspiration to all of us and taught us the joy of life. There's always a bright side in everyone's' life, we just have to believe in it and soon the bright side will shine bright like a beautiful afternoon sunshine. Trust me, it's somewhere there. I think the most important aspect of life we have learned from her was to smile and laugh as much as you can, surround yourself with people that makes you happy and let you be you, have strong positive vibes, and most importantly live life to fullest, where tomorrow isn't exactly there anymore. Yes I know, these helpful phrases are cliché', but let's be honest, it's the truth and we need to remind ourselves to put these phrases into actions into our lives. This would be something Caroline would want us to do. She believes in us.

I hope you guys took something away from this. Don't ever forget we are all in this together.

Here's a song we can all enjoy and learn from. I think Caroline admired this song as well. Rest in peace, beautiful. Thank you for everything.

Inspiration

"Hello beautiful beings of the internet" (Lauren Elizabeth's voice), I hope you guys are having a great start of the new year, if not it's totally fine, we all have a different pace on finding positivity in our surroundings. You'll eventually get there, don't give up. Think happy thoughts and always remember.

Well today kicks off my last semester of high school, which is really crazy. I can't believe I'll be graduating in 20 weeks. Today was so good to me and I think it's because I woke up to one of my favorite songs, Home by Phillip Phillips, I was smiling really hard and decided that because of this, today is going to be so great and guess what? It ended up being a good day. I hope this was helpful for you guys to try to have a better day tomorrow.

So you guys are probably wondering, why I decided to start a blog. Well it was sometime last week, when almost everyone, was inspired to create YouTube videos and I wanted to do the same, but I felt like making videos right now wasn't the right time for me, because of how shy and awkward I can be in front people and safety reasons. Maybe someday I'll be able to also create videos to capture beautiful memories of summer 2015 and my freshman year of college or even now and I could upload them later in the future. Anything can happen, you know?

I was also inspired by my favorite blogger, prepofthesouth. I'm so happy she started blogging again. She also has a Tumblr, but I believe that her blog posts are more personal and it creates a solid connection to her readers, because the posts are from her thoughts. Based on her responses to the questions she receives each day from her Tumblr, her thoughts are open-minded and respectful and of course helpful. They also tend to be relatable and definitely creative. I get super excited when she post the little things about her life. I know for sure the posts from the studies section of her blog are going to be helpful to me when I enter college.

So basically the people, who I've been "surrounded" by, have inspired me to do this amazing opportunity. Thank you a lot. And don't EVER EVER forget that you can do anything if you set your mind to your goal.

Have a lovely day and don't forget to find your positive vibes, remember it takes time.

Here are some videos that may be helpful to you.
